Note: This program was called Kickstart Your Leadership in 2015 and 2016.

Developing Self, Leading Others provides those in leadership or supervisory roles with deep insight into their current leadership style. Over three intense days, they will plan how to lead their team to remain agile, flexible, progressive and relevant throughout 2017 and beyond.

What you will learn:

Through this highly-effective three-day program, participants will:

  • use feedback from others to review your personal leadership style, versus your own perception of your leadership style
  • improve your ability to more effectively communicate with and motivate others
  • use your ability to build trust and effective working relationships for improved personal, team and organisational performance
  • have the time you need to focus on self-awareness and action to close the gap between ‘ideal’ and ‘actual’ behaviour
  • be challenged by diverse world views, new ideas and different ways of thinking.

Turn these insights, alongside program learnings, into a personal development plan to enhance your leadership capability – for personal and professional growth.

"A leader's job is not to do the work for others, it's to help others figure out how to do it themselves, to get things done, and to succeed beyond what they thought possible."

- Simon Sinek, leadership author, speaker and consultant.

This program is suitable for:

Those in leadership or supervisory roles with direct reports, including high-performing team leaders, people managers and supervisors, Directors, CEOs and Board members.

Psychometric Profiling

In the program we use two psychometric tools to give you a thorough understanding of your personal leadership style and how your beliefs, behaviours and values can impact how you work with others.

FIRO B Profiling: The psychometric instrument FIRO B (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation) is utilised in this program. It will help you understand the underlying drivers behind interactions with others, and show how you can adapt your behaviours, influence others effectively and build trust among colleagues.

360-Degree Assessment: 360-degree feedback is a method of systematically collecting opinions about an individual's performance from a wide range of co-workers, helping to identify your strengths and development needs. This could include peers, direct reports and your manager — along with people outside the organisation, such as clients.

The benefit of collecting data of this kind is that you get to see a panoramic view of how others perceive your leadership style, rather than just relying on self-perception. 360-degree evaluations provide a platform for ongoing assessment, feedback and personal and organisational leadership development.
