New and Emerging Communities Leadership Program - Series 3
The New and Emerging Communities Leadership Program (NECLP) provides an outstanding opportunity for potential and current leaders from migrant or refugee backgrounds.
This free community program, funded by the Victorian Government, is open to new and emerging leaders to help build their leadership skills and capacity, and contribute to community development.
Series 3 of the NECLP to be held in Melbourne's South East and is open to all Victorian residents, runs from August to October, for up to 30 participants.
- Develop leadership skills and confidence
- Grow networks in government, business and community sectors
- Gain insights and leadership experiences from Community leaders
- Engage in a group community project
- Work with a mentor
- Learn with a diverse group of people committed to making a difference
NECLP offers a rich development experience with long-lasting benefits for participants, mentors and the wider community.
Who can Apply
Applications welcome from migrants and refugees from new and emerging communities throughout Victoria, who have demonstrated their commitment to community development. This is an inclusive and welcoming program: participants often are first-generation Australians, and often originally from eastern, western and southern Asia or Africa. If you perceive that your ethnicity, faith or nationality of origin is not yet fully part of the rich tapestry of a multicultural Australia, you are welcome to apply.

- Balla Balla Community Centre - 65 Berwick Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East
- Bridgewater Family and Community Centre - 45 Bridgewater Blvd, Berwick
