City of Casey: New & Emerging Communities Leadership Program
The New and Emerging Communities Leadership Program (NECLP) provides an outstanding opportunity for potential and current leaders from migrant or refugee backgrounds.
This free community program, funded by the Victorian Government, provides an outstanding opportunity for new and emerging leaders to build leadership skills and capacity, and contribute to community development.
Held in the City of Casey from August to October, for up to 30 participants, participants will:
- Develop leadership skills and confidence
- Grow networks in government, business and community sectors
- Gain insights and leadership experiences from Community leaders
- Engage in a group community project
- Work with a mentor
- Learn with a diverse group of people committed to making a difference
NECLP offers a rich development experience with long-lasting benefits for participants, mentors and the wider community.
Who can Apply
Applications welcome from migrants and refugees from new and emerging communities, who have demonstrated their commitment to community development.
Funding for childcare can be provided by request at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tuesday 8 August, 5:30pm-7pm
Fridays 25 August, 15 September and 13 October
Friday 1 September and Wednesday 27 September 6pm-9pm
Tuesday 17 October, 4:30pm-6:30pm
