Melbourne East Disability Advocacy (MEDA) is a small not for profit disability advocacy organisation that provides individual and volunteer citizen advocacy programs for people with an intellectual disability.

The project is to act as an Advisor / Mentor to MEDA, in order to create a working platform to establish a comprehensive result focused Marketing & Fundraising frame work for the organisation.
MEDA likes to enhance community awareness and increase its volunteer and client base.
To support and advise MEDA in developing and implementing a marketing/fundraising plan.
To provide support and advise on the development of a realistic marketing plan
To provide advice on how to increase amount and diversification of revenue options to MEDA

What outcome is your project/ organisation looking to achieve?
Project Summary The project is to act as an Advisor / Mentor to MEDA, in order to create a working platform to establish a comprehensive result focused Marketing & Fundraising frame work for the organisation. MEDA likes to enhance community awareness and increase its volunteer and client base. To support and advise MEDA in developing and implementing a marketing/fundraising plan. To provide support and advise on the development of a realistic marketing plan To provide advice on how to increase amount and diversification of revenue options to MEDA To provide advice and guidance and a realistic action plan implementing these strategies. To advise how to increase the number of volunteer Citizen Advocates and other volunteers to engage with MEDA To help and promote the profile and referrals to MEDA amongst other people with a disability and or another disability service provider. To assist with finding ways to increase membership and support for MEDA Consultation with MEDA's COM, staff, volunteers and community advisory group members. Advise on research into best practice approaches Assist with marketing and final document approval Assist with implementation strategies Advise MEDA on some development workshops.

What things would you need to put in place to achieve the desired outcome?
Consultation with MEDA's COM, staff, volunteers and community advisory group members. Research into best practice approaches Marketing plan proposal developed and final document approved Implementation strategies, resources and timelines identified and implemented Professional development workshops

What things might you need to develop in order to achieve the above?
We urgently require assistance on the above issues. Hoping to appoint someone late to end 2016.

What are some of the activities you may need to do in order to produce the above things?
Marketing and advertising, stakeholder management, communication, brand management, market research, sponsorship/fundraising.
