Women's Leadership Program
A program for mid-senior level women leaders to build their leadership capabilities, especially in dealing with complex and challenging situations.
Program Overview
The Women’s Leadership Program is a 3-day residential retreat for mid-senior level women leaders who wish to learn leadership strategies for leading with purpose through complex leadership challenges and building confidence and strategies to influence change. Participants will also address gender-based workplace issues as well as identify strengths in others and lead across internal and external stakeholders.
The Women’s Leadership Program provides an opportunity for busy leaders to pause and experiment, be curious, rejuvenate and develop a diverse and supportive peer network of women leaders.

Program Inclusions
- Retreat in regional Victoria, (an award-winning accommodation, bar and restaurant, and spa property).

- Learn the principles and competencies of adaptive leadership
- Diagnose complex challenges in your work or organisation
- Build your confidence and personal resilience to exercise leadership
Engage in dialogue with speakers who are in the ‘doing and exercising’ of purposeful leadership - Identify your own barriers to change, default behaviours and patterns of thinking in dealing with issues and challenges
- Have the confidence to experiment more, and create the space for others
to trial new ideas and approaches

Upon completing the Women's Leadership Program, you will join a diverse Alumni network of 7000+ leaders across Victoria, built over 35 years of Leadership Victoria programs. You will gain access to exclusive Alumni events, and have opportunities to continue your leadership learning, connect with other like-minded leaders, and contribute to the Victorian community and beyond. Dr. Anne Hartican

Dr. Anne Hartican is a Melbourne | Naarm born and bred leadership and organisational development specialist with a depth of experience in working with government and health sectors. Through her work with a broad range of organisations Anne has built a reputation for assisting leaders strengthen their impact and organisations drive meaningful cultural change. In working with clients Anne draws on extensive experience in both public and private sector organisations as a senior manager where she was responsible for organisational mergers, workforce restructures, managing large change projects, commissioning new facilities and services and developing work unit effectiveness and performance.
Anne’s depth of experience in managing large workforces, coupled with her consulting and research expertise, provide a solid foundation for her leadership and organisational culture development work. Her approach to enhancing leadership capability and organisational performance is underpinned by a sophisticated knowledge of leadership, organisation development and group dynamic theories. Anne also draws on her highly developed diagnostic and facilitation skills to support clients deal effectively with complex adaptive organisational challenges as well as interpersonal challenges.
Anne is a published author on leadership. Her published works include The Character of Leadership (2006) and articles in Leadership & Organization Development Journal and the Monash Business Review.
